Travelling around europe?

Question

Which are the most beautiful small towns/villages. having very little populatin with one or two neat n clean hotels to stay n scenic beauty around.for holiday n long walks.

dear kadam, Italy is plenty of small beautiful villages. In the South, prices are lower. In Liguria (North West) i suggest: Portofino (very expensive)and Cinque Terre - Five Lands - (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore) and the romantic "via dell'amore" - lovers' path - in Lombardia, the villages around lakes (Como) Varenna, Bellano, etc.. - Lago Maggiore - lago d'Orta and the beautiful Orta San Giulio village . Piemonte: Cuneo and small villages around like Savigliano. Going center Italy: places around Tabiano with its Terme, Bobbio and Trebbia River (very nice with small canions). In Umbria Gubbio. In Tuscany (something different from normal tours...) Alpi Apuane where you can find White marble caves and the little village of Colonnata where you can eat the best pork lard of the world. Lazio: Bracciano lake and the Bracciano Castle. Trasimeno Lake (Paciano village). Sicily: Stromboli Island but go absolutely in Ginostra village, just near the crater. Unforgettable! and so on.... (this is only 1/10.000 of what you can find)

Try to look in a Maggiore Lake but i think it's a littel expensive
